Friendship House Association of American Indians,
Inc. of San Francisco is a community-based,
non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential substance
abuse treatment for Native Americans. Friendship House is unique in
its track record of providing a holistic treatment, recovery, and prevention
program culturally-relevent to American Indians in San Francisco since
1963. Friendship House operates two residential facilities, one in San
Francisco with capacity of 80 beds for adults, and one in Oakland for
substance abusing American Indian women with their children. Both residential
treatment facilities are licensed and certified by the State of California
Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs. In addition, Friendship House
is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation
of Rehabilitation Facilities. (CARF) |
